Alte Klosterschaenke in Chorin

Salad very fresh and tasty. Unfortunately, meat is very dry and cannot be eaten with wrong teeth. Ambience is okay.

First of all the positive: except for the tables and chairs that exude the flair of a canteen, the interior is very comfortably designed. There are even some tables under the roof, unfortunately this area was closed that day. We had already studied the menu on the homepage at home and, based on this map, drove from further to the Klosterschänke. It turned out that we were presented with a different selection. Ok, there was also a small interesting selection for us. We chose the game goulash with red cabbage and bread dumplings. The young waitress was professionally friendly and we had our drinks quickly and the food immediately afterwards. So fast that it obviously wasn't enough to heat the dish for my partner, it arrived lukewarm. The red cabbage was not very seasoned, but still ok, the consistency of the goulash was tender, the taste was juniper-heavy (8 berries were in my portion alone), the dumplings too soft so that they didn't even keep the round shape. The taste was slightly washed out. The whole thing would have been okay if it hadn't been for the horrific price of just under 18 € for this non-existent culinary taste experience. Anyone who calls up such prices should deliver the appropriate quality. Conclusion: We decided to give other restaurants in BB a chance as well.

Nice place but kitchen average ... lukewarm soup, old white bread. Service was nice though! Addendum: we received a fresh soup and fresh white bread.

A lot of convenience and much too expensive for that. The kitchen doesn't do justice to the chic and historical ambience - a shame ...

Unfortunately a smaller menu than on the internet and the kitchen closes at 7 p.m. Our dishes were good and tasty.

Never again On Saturday after visiting the monastery, I wanted to have a table outside with friends, there were three of us, there were 5 !!!!!! free. Waitress extremely unfriendly, no, allegedly all reserved, we lingered outside by the car, 2 gentlemen came on the bike (about 65-70), who also hadn't reserved, we got a table in conversation with them, but they IMMEDIATELY got a table was offered. I find such behavior neither customer-friendly nor up-to-date, maybe we did not correspond to the desired average age. Fortunately, you can find wonderful restaurants in the surrounding area, where you can dine nicely ,,,, Klosterschänke never again..Kloster Chorin and the cafe, always happy

The corona-related restrictions on seating at the end of May also affect the ambience. The operation also seemed a bit sterile, which was not only due to Corona. Otherwise everything ok. Gladly again.

Unfortunately, we could not order anything to eat, since the kitchen would have taken 40 minutes and we would have missed the beginning of the concert missed. Great restaurant, not cheap. Good card, but arrive on time.

On the 20th of July, after a visit to the monastery, we returned to the Alte Klosterschänke to have a bite to eat. We were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful ambience and the very friendly staff who made every effort to provide us with everything. From homemade ice tea to our salad it was very good in taste and financially appropriate. We will definitely return and highly recommend this small but fine restaurant.

Today tasted, ambience very appealing. Staff attentive and friendly. Food tasty and lovingly prepared. A big compliment to the kitchen. The only drawback was the price of the homemade ice tea for 0.25l with 4.50 € was wrong.

We were on yesterday's Herrentag me 3 friends after a bike ride from Bernau to Chorin in the old Klosterschänke. The restaurant already edges from a visit in February. The food is regional, always with an original touch (no standard schnitzel with fries) and tasted delicious. Yesterday also organized by the apprentices, a barbecue instead (but not only bratwurst and steak) but, I think, with, for a barbecue, special offers. I had the steak with beans and rice. This was delicious. Can only recommend a trip to the monastery with a meal in the tavern. Keep it up, you will notice that you are trying hard! PS .: The music could have been a bit different, but that's a matter of taste. :)

We were with 13 people food. As previously agreed, buffet. Everything was delicious. Unfortunately, the sweet potatoes, although very tasty, were almost cold. That did not need to be. The service is very friendly by the way.
